Early voting has already begun for this year’s 2024 Democratic Party primary election, and most candidates are running uncontested within the party. For the races that are contested, you can read below to find our recommendations.
November’s General Election will focus on local candidates and state-wide issues. From enshrining reproductive rights and health care into the Ohio constitution (Yes on Issue 1!) to funding programs and services for neighbors with disabilities, read on for our recommendations on who and what to vote for, including a sample ballot for Stow.

Kari has served on the BoE for a little less than 1 year after being appointed to fill a Board vacancy in November 2022. The upcoming August election will determine if Ohio’s Issue One will pass. Vote NO to protect the precedent of “one person, one vote,” reproductive freedoms, and our right to determine the future.

The Stow-Munroe Falls Board of Education will soon vote on the Anti-racism Policy, which continues to face pushback. Opposition has been VERY vocal, so please consider sharing and coming to speak in support of it — this is an opportunity to share our experiences, and make our voices heard.
At the most recent Board of Education Meeting, Dr. Pamela Wind proposed the Pride Month Resolution, which would recognize June as Pride Month in Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools, while also laying out some concrete action steps to make sure LGBTQIA+ students and staff are in a safe and accommodating environment at school.
